Creative Problem-solvers

  • Our purpose is to prepare our students for college and career challenging them intellectually and developing them into creative problem-solvers. We strive to do this by providing quality instruction for our students and providing them with opportunities to dual enroll through the Griffin Region College and Career Academy.   We are excited to announce that we are also providing students with iGAIN during the day to ensure that instructional needs are met.

  • Pike County High School has been named an AP Merit School by the Georgia Department of Education! 

    AP Merit Schools are schools with at least 20 percent of the total student population taking AP exams and at least 50 percent of all AP exams earning scores of 3 or higher.

    The deadline to be accepted for MOWR for the 2017-18 school year is May 1.

    Students who are planning to dual enroll must have an SAT, ACT or Accuplacer test score in order to be accepted.

    Current MOWR students who are planning to dual enroll next year should turn in the MOWR paperwork to their counselor by March 31.

    • Scholarship deadlines are rapidly approaching.  Stop by the counseling department weekly for updates and applications. 
    • Check with your Senior English teacher for your transcript.  Please review your transcript and notify your counselor if you have any questions regarding your transcript.

    The deadline to be accepted into post-secondary institutions for dual enrollment is May 1.  You must apply to the institution and take the appropriate entrance exam (ACT, SAT, ACCUPLACER).   Deadlines for entrance tests are rapidly approaching.   Visit ACTSTUDENT.ORG or SAT.ORG for testing dates and locations.  Please be aware of deadline dates, as students will not be permitted to dual enroll beyond deadline.
