    Meal Collection Sites For ALL Pike County Students Announced.

    Beginning on Monday, March 30, meals will be available to ALL Pike County Students.  Meal collection will occur at Pike Elementary and Pike Middle beginning at 5:00 p.m. and ending at 6:30 p.m. every Monday and Wednesday, including the week designated as Spring Break. If the first letter of your last name begins with A-L, your pick-up location is Pike Elementary. If the first letter of your last name begins with M-Z, your pick-up location is Pike Middle. Households with multiple last names may pick a site. You are not required to pick-up at multiple locations.

  • Meal Pick-up Site Maps and Directions


    Please follow the traffic flow for your assigned location: A-L Pike Elementary and M-Z Pike  Middle. Out of an abundance of caution, the staff will not be able to hand you meal bags. Once you pull up and stop at the designated meal pick-up point, please tell the staff how many children need meals. Bags wil be placed on the ground beside your station. Quickly exit your vehicle and retrieve them. Please maintain 6 feet from any person.

Announcements

  • Instructional packets for weeks 1-3 are available below, on the PCPS Facebook page, available for pick up at the school, and were distributed with meals Monday evening. Please remember that completion and submission of three “choices” from a choice board will serve to replace the lowest daily grade for first and second graders. However, completion is not mandatory.

    Submission of these assignments will take place in one of the following manners:
    1. First preference - Email the file of completed work to your child’s homeroom teacher. Please be sure to include your child’s name in the subject line.
    2. Second preference - Text a picture of the completed work to your child’s teacher or via the classroom mode of communication.
    3. Third preference- Return the completed task to the plastic tub labeled “Student Work” that will be located in near the front doors of the school. Packets will be due by April 15.

    After the next week's instructional packet (week of 3/30), we will pause to review collected work and make decisions on our best option for next steps with instruction. After spring break we will communicate our plans to you. We look forward to the day our halls are filled again with your precious children.

    Fill out an online application. You must attend Sub Training to be eligible.  Cost is $40.

    Training is held at Griffin RESA 770-229-3247 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
