Welcome to Teaching and Learning
The Pike County Teaching and Learning Department provides services and supports for the students and teachers in our schools. The department assists with planning of the curriculum, providing instructional resources, guiding textbook adoptions, and supervising the state testing program.
We provide a number of student supports, including Response to Intervention (RTI), educational psychological evaluation, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and Section 504. The department also oversees the Student Information System (SIS) and state data collection for accountability and funding purposes.
It’s time to celebrate our cancer survivors! We will be hosting all survivors for a dinner, sponsored in part by the FFA, on Friday, May 17, 2019, at 5:00pm at the Ninth Grade Academy cafeteria. There is no cost to each survivor and their guest. Please invite all survivors you know to register for this festive, annual event. They can register with Primary School Counselor Betsy Burford by email (email@example.com) or phone (770-567-8443, extension 5008). Survivors who register need to give Ms. Burford their name and let her know if they will bring a guest. Following the dinner, all survivors will be introduced during the football game at halftime.
PCHS recognized Lynda Ever as the Class of 2019 Salutatorian.
