The School District continues to provide meals on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-6 pm at the Pike Elementary and Pike Middle. Please be aware that meal service will be discontinued on Memorial day but will return on Wednesday, May 27 at Pike Middle ONLY for the remainder of the summer.
Governor Kemp has mandated that all Georgia schools remain closed for in-person instruction for the remainder of the school year. Understandably, this creates many questions. Alexa in the Classroom
Pike County Schools has been chosen to participate in a study that would pilot Alexa in the classroom. Only a handful of districts in the nation were chosen. As part of the study, students and parents are asked to complete a short survey to help see if this technology would be beneficial to the students of Pike County. As we begin to look ahead, we would like to utilize students’ imagination and creative problem solving skills. We are launching a “Spring Sprint” Treasure Hunt. This event question is specific to our current condition and intended to seek feedback based on students’ unique experiences during this time. Idea submission will only last through May 17 and voting will begin on May 18. Please take the time to engage this process so that we can implement your great ideas and be our best!

📍Tuesday, June 2nd from 4-7 PM will be for students with last names beginning A-G
📍Wednesday, June 3rd from 4-7 PM will be for students with last names beginning H-Q
📍Thursday, June 4th from 4-7 PM will be for students with last names beginning R-Z.

Zell Miller Scholarship Update
Eligible high school graduates and accredited home study completers unable to sit for the ACT or SAT due to the cancellation of test dates since March 2020 are given the opportunity to test through December 30, 2020. Students with a qualifying GPA and rigor credits may be awarded HOPE Scholarship initially. Upon earning a qualifying test score, may be retroactively awarded Zell Miller Scholarship.
