The Maintenance Department is comprised of four employees responsible for the maintenance, repair, and renovation of 800,000+ square feet in 14 buildings. Maintenance responsibilities include installation, repair, general maintenance of air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, roads, and grounds at all facilities. The department strives to provide a safe, attractive, clean and healthy environment for learning and working. Pike County Schools Maintenance does 85% of maintenance/repair work without contracting external parties.
The Technology Department is comprised of two employees to provide support and maintenance of school network infrastructures and computer equipment for 1500 network endpoints to enhance teaching and learning within the district for 3,173 students and 547 staff. The district is virtual which allows all users access to their programs and data 24/7/365 from any internet enabled device. Pike County Schools technology does 92% of maintenance/repair work without contracting to external parties.

The Pike County Board of Education is soliciting comments and input regarding the proposed calendar for the 2020-2021 school year.
