Mrs. Emily O'Steen- District 3 School Board
Emily O'Steen is a lifelong resident of Pike County who has served as a school board member for District 3 for four years now. She graduated from Pike County High School in 1994 and returned as a Fifth grade teacher after graduating college from Mercer University. She taught at Pike County Elementary for nine years. She now teaches First grade for Georgia Cyber Academy.
Emily is married to Jonathan O'Steen who is also a lifelong resident of Pike County and an educator. They have been married for 18 years and have three children who attend Pike County Schools who are Susannah (7th), Isabel (4th), and Beau (2nd).
In her spare time Emily loves to spend time with her family, worship at Northridge Church, go camping wherever she can, visit St. George Island, and garden.
Emily brings an understanding of the classroom, teachers, parents, and students to the school board being that she is a teacher and a parent. Emily has a great interest in the Pike County School system from where her children will one day graduate and her goal is to see that the system maintains the high level and excellent reputation that Pike County School system currently holds. Pike county schools are near and dear to her heart and she cares about the future of everyone involved in this outstanding school system.
