Welcome to 9th Grade Academy!
Pike County Ninth Grade Academy is located at 7360 US Highway 19 South, Zebulon, Georgia. This is a rural community which is supported by local stakeholders, parents and guardians. Our enrollment at the Ninth Grade Academy is 288 students. We have classroom teachers, Special Education teachers, an ISS/RtI teacher, and a paraprofessional.
The following services are provided for students at the Ninth Grade Academy: AP, ESOL, Gifted, RtI, and Special Education. Students may participate in the following electives: Agriculture, Band, Chorus, Drama, Spanish, and Physical Education. We have students leave the building to participate in the following classes: ROTC (in Lamar County), STEM (at PCHS), Band/Chorus (at PCHS), and College Career Academy (in Griffin). The administrative staff consists of: a principal, and assistant principal, a counselor, a nurse, and a data entry clerk. We also have a School Resource Officer.
Pike County Community
Pike County, Georgia was established on December 9, 1822. It is Georgia's 57th county. Originally formed from part of Monroe County, it now includes the townships of Concord, Hilltop, Meansville, Molena, Williamson, and Zebulon, the county seat.
Pike County is located in the west-central part of Georgia. It includes 218.4 square miles, and is bordered by Spalding, Butts, Lamar, Upson and Meriwether counties. Pike County lies approximately 50 miles south of downtown Atlanta and approximately 50 miles northwest of Macon. The 2010 Census estimates Pike County as having a population of approximately 17,869. Pike County is one of the 28 counties that are included in the Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).
