About Our School
Welcome to Pike Primary!
Pike County Primary School is situated just off Highway 19 South in Zebulon, Georgia. We serve a rural community and are proud to have tremendous support from our stakeholders: parents, guardians, and community. Our building houses all Pike County students in kindergarten through second grade. Each grade level averages about 220 students. It is difficult to give actual enrollment due to various enrollments and withdrawals throughout the year.
We have 27 classroom teachers with the support of 21 paraprofessionals. Student services include: Title I, ESOL, Special Education, RtI, and Gifted. We utilize the inclusive and gifted collaborative model within the classroom setting. Students participate in “specials” classes which, at our school, are Art, Music, P.E. and Computer. Our administrative staff includes: Principal, Assistant Principal, Counselor, and Instructional Coach. Finally, we have great staff in our Media Center and Front Office, including a Nurse, to help manage our building. We take great pride in our school and our system! Together, we make a difference!
Our motto at Pike County Primary School is:
Students at Pike Primary are responsible, independent, motivated, achievers, ready for life’s journey…Sailing for Success!

Thank you to all of our amazing parents and community volunteers who came to share their careers with our students. Students learned about making pizzas, working with the K9 unit, mixing concrete, grooming animals, dental hygiene, working on power lines, and much more.
Attention Parents and Family Members:
If you are on the approved volunteer list and would like to be a "Sight Word Buddy" there will be a training class on Tuesday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m. in the science lab. We hope to see you there!
