Welcome to Teaching and Learning
The Pike County Teaching and Learning Department provides services and supports for the students and teachers in our schools. The department assists with planning of the curriculum, providing instructional resources, guiding textbook adoptions, and supervising the state testing program.
We provide a number of student supports, including Response to Intervention (RTI), educational psychological evaluation, Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and Section 504. The department also oversees the Student Information System (SIS) and state data collection for accountability and funding purposes.
PCHS recognized Lynda Ever as the Class of 2019 Salutatorian.
The Pike County Board of Education is soliciting comments and input regarding the proposed 2020-2021 school year. The Board will vote on the final calendar at the regular meeting on June 11, 2019. Please send all comments via email to the Deputy Superintendent.
