  • Welcome Parents! This is where you where find all school information pertaining to you. Your involvement in our school is the key to success!  We have many opportunities for you to participate/partner with us. It takes a village to raise a child and we value having a wonderful home to school relationship with you!


    Supply Lists

    Please bring supplies to class or Open House in a large bag labeled with you child's name. Your child's teacher will ask for additional supplies at Open House

    The following will be available to purchase at Open House

    Kindergarten Supply List
    2 packs yellow #2 pencils
    Bookbag (no wheels, large enough for a notebook)
    4 boxes of 24 count (CRAYOLA) crayons
    2 black and white marble composition notebooks
    1 pack of 8 count CRAYOLA classic markers
    1 pack of highlighters
    1 pack of 4 count EXPO dry erase markers
    1 pair of child's FISKARS scissors
    1 box of tissue
    Antibackterial hand sanitizer
    1 bottle of Elmer's glue
    1 pack of 12 glue sticks
    1 plastic KinderMat nest mat
    1 ream of white copy paper (This will be your child's writing paper)

    Boys: Clorox wipes, sandwich and snack size zip-lock bags
    Girls: 1 box of Magic Erasers, quart and gallon zip-lock bags

    1st Grade Supply List
    1 one-inch white plastic binder with pockets
    2 boxes of 24 count CRAYOLA crayons(please do not label boxes)
    2 packs of Ticonderoga pencils
    1 pack of multi-color EXPO dry erase markers
    1 pair of FISKARS scissors
    1 box of tissue
    2 packs of pink pearl erasers
    6 glue sticks
    2 containers of Clorox wipes
    1 zipper pencil pouch
    1 spiral notebook

    **Lysol Spray, Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer are always welcome if these supplies are available in our area.


    2nd Grade Supply List
    1 3-ring zipper pencil pouch
    2 packs of yellow Ticonderoga pencils
    2 pair of FISKARS scissors
    1 box of tissue
    2 boxes of 24 count CRAYOLA crayons
    12 Elmer's glue sticks
    1 backpack (no wheels)
    1 bag of cotton balls

    Lexile Reading Information

    There are many wonderful books in your child’s school Media Center and Pike County Primary students love to read! Choose for your child to participate in our library program and will agree to assist your child in taking responsibility for checked out materials . Announcements

  • We are very excited to announce that Pike County was chosen to participate in a study that will pilot Alexa in the classroom. Only a handful of districts in the nation were chosen.
    As part of the study, we are asking parents to please complete the survey below.
     
    If your child's classroom is chosen for the study, you will be notified and further details will be provided to you.

  • Kindergarten registration has been scheduled for June 16-18 from 3:00-7:00.    (By Appointment Only)

    Registration will take place at Pike County Primary School.

    The student’s legal guardian must be present and have all necessary paperwork. Guidelines (including required documents) for registration can be found at:   https://www.pike.k12.ga.us/Page/1451

    Each enrolling Kindergartner should also be present to participate in academic screening. No siblings please. Guardians enrolling twins should make back-to-back appointments.

    Beginning on Monday, June 1, guardians may begin making appointments for registration by visiting: https://www.pike.k12.ga.us/

     

    Students who were enrolled in the Pke County Schools Pre-K Program have been automatically enrolled and do not need to attend registration.

  • Interested in being a substitute?  

    Fill out an online application. You must attend Sub Training to be eligible.  Cost is $40.

    Training is held at Griffin RESA 770-229-3247 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
